Baby Teething Treatments
63Signs of Teething
While babies are going through teething babies, they will try the patience of their caregivers. As mothers are often the one taking care of their babies, their patience is also being tried to the limit. They are most often fuzzy, irritable without any reason, crying all of a sudden, just wanting to stay in their arms and comforted. They would then demand to be carried around, or be lulled to sleep and would wake up by the time they are put to bed.
During feeding they would drink less of their milk and would sometimes refuse some of their solid foods. They may play for a while but there would be intervals of moodiness, in which they would be inconsolable. Teething, as most mothers admit, is not one event they would look forward to with joy, but because it is an important sign that their baby is growing up in a normal way, they would live with the experience graciously.

So how can parents, mothers particularly, remain cheerful while taking care of their teething babies? There are no sure fire ways to remedy the situation, because most mothers or parents must go through this cycle with their babies. Aside from the usual remedies that were passed from one parent to another such as the use of cold teething rings, cold pacifiers, cold apples, cold bottle of water, gum massage, and use of over the counter pain relievers, parents can also try diverting their babies attention away from their sore gums to more interesting activities. They could play music to which babies could listen to and they could dance to for a while. They could also entertain their babies with storybooks full of colored pictures or new toys to play with.
But if none of the above options work to ease the baby’s discomfort, parents could take comfort from the thought that this is just a temporary event that will last for just a few days, and then after this, their babies would be back to doing their usual charming and adorable little ways. All You Need to Know About Teething

I recommend Baltic Amber Teething necklaces as a natural way to treat teething. They work by releasing natural oils when in contact with the skin. The oils have analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.
It was the only thing that worked for my little one! I got mine from http://www.wildsheep.co.uk.

when your child is teething it has been my experience with my one year old that you treat them with oragel until it is about mid day or around their nap time then give them a small amount of benadryl and the normal dose of teething tablets and let them take their nap and when they wake up immediately give them a small dose of teething tablets and it helps get them through the rest of the day because they are now rested and have pretty much forgotten about the pain. i know for a fact this way works because my little girl is a drama queen and she passes out when she gets fraustrated with the pain and it seems that a good nap and teething tablets have worked wonderfully.
